1977 F.A. Charity Shield
Match Worn Shirt
In every season before the league starts, the league champions and the F.A. Cup winners of the prior season play in a tournament called F.A. Charity Shield (nowadays known as the Community Shield).
On 13 August 1977, Liverpool, the league champions of season 1976-1977, played against Manchester United, the 1977 F.A. Cup Winners, in the 1977 F.A. Charity Shield at the Wembley Stadium.
In this match, Liverpool was drawn to wear the home kit in red and Manchester United wearing the white away kit.
The match ended as a goalless draw, and the two teams shared the trophy.
