The Liverpool Shirts Museum 1985-1986 Third Player Shirt (Single-lined Crown Paints version) |
Liverpool released a yellow third shirt in year 1985 and it was only briefly worn in the two seasons 1985-1986 and 1986-1987. The sponsor logo was displayed in one line at first but it changed in the second season, displayed in two lines so it became larger (and easier to see on a TV screen). This one-line Crownpaints yellow shirt doesn't bear the double winners emblem, which means it's prepared before the F.A. Cup Final 1986. To be exact, this shirt was worn during the F.A. Cup 5th Round against York City on 15 February 1986. |
As usual, Liverpool player shirts under the Adidas era in the 1980s are characterized by embroidered Adidas motif and Liverbird crest. The shirt doesn't carry the double winners emblem as it was worn in the F.A. Cup 5th Round on 15 February 1986. |
