2012-2013 Home Player Shirt
Starting from 2012-2013 season, Liverpool's kit manufacturer changes to Warrior Sports, an American sporting goods manufacturer whose parent company is New Balance Athletic Shoe, Inc.

The new Liverpool 2012-2013 home shirt under Warrior Sports design reverted back to the Liverbird club crest used during the 1960s to 1980s. The flame torches and 96 that pay repsects to the 96 victims in the 1989 Hillsborough Disaster move to the neck collar position on the reverse of the shirt.
Liverpool organized a 2012-2013 pre-season friendly tour in North America, known as the LFC Tour 2012.  Participated teams include Toronto, AS Roma, Tottenham Hotspurs and Liverpool. On 25 July 2012, Liverpool played against AS Roma in the LFC Tour 2012 pre-season friendly match at Fenway Park, the home stadium of Boston Red Sox, owned by Fenway Sports Group.

Most of the LFC Tour 2012 match worn shirts from matchday 25 July 2012 were donated by the club to Liverpool FC Foundation for charity auction purpose, including the Jon Flanagan one.
This Jon Flanagan match worn shirt has a provenance beyond doubt. It comes with a Liverpool FC issued letter of authenticity, a Certificate of Authenticity for Liverpool FC Autographed Item, a short memo paper addressed to the curator of the Liverpool Shirts Museum for his patronage, signed by staff member of the Liverpool FC Foundation.
