2013-2014 "Celebration of the 96"
Local Legends Player Shirt
Year 2014 was the 25th Anniversary of the Hillsborough Disaster. Justice has finally been
done for the victims this year. To commeorate this, Liverpool and Hillsborough Family
Support Group organized a charity match called the "Celebration of the 96", which was
played between Liverpool Local Legends and International Legends at Anfield Road on
21st April 2014.
On 29 March 2014, a special Liverpool FC
Legends charity match was announced to
be held at Anfield in Apirl to mark the 25th
anniversary of Hillsborough

and dirty shirt of John Barnes.
A team of local Liverpool Legends managed
by Kenny Dalglish will take on a team of
international greats managed by Gerard
Houllier.

Foundation. The shirt was hand signed
by John Barnes on the back and comes
with Liverpool FC's COA for authentic
autograph, as well as LFC Foundation's
letter of provenance authenticating the
match worn status of the shirt.

Liverpool Local Legends gathered at the
centre circle of Anfield Road to pay respect
to the 96 victims of the Hillsborough
Disaster.
